My husband had surgery to remove his anal fissure. How often should his dressings should be changed?

The Surgeon determines this, but normally bid to tid.
A couple of times daily to keep skin from getting irritated from drainage
The dressings should be removed in 24 hrs. Most convenient and less painful way is to let it come off by itself during showering. After that a peripad (female pad) can be placed over the area without any adhesive tape.
Change the dressing after each sitz bath. Perform sitz baths 3 times per day and after each bowel movement.
