“Are dental implants safe over time?”
I want to have a dental implant for my missing tooth. Are these safe over time? Like do they last a lifetime and I wouldn't have to worry about them?

Dental implants have been extremely safe. In the mandible (lower jaw), they have over 90% success rate. In the maxilla 80% to 85%. Having said that, the most important factors remain good diagnosis and capable surgeon that knows to select the best site, avoid problems by using the correct techniques and instructing the patient how to keep the implant and implant crown clean and in correct occlusion.
