Yes. Will be in hold. But many centers starting now.
In a few states. Not in NC
Elective surgical procedures were postponed in the early stages of the COVID-19 pandemic but are now being performed across the country.
The Governor issued an executive order a couple of days ago that specifically targets four counties in Texas. These are Harris, Dallas, Bexar, and Travis Counties. What it says is that elective surgery that would impact the number of beds for COVID-19 should be delayed. If your surgery is one that you can go home the same day, then it probably won't be delayed. If you have to stay in the hospital after surgery, then it depends on the number of beds available at the hospital. For all practical purposes, right now, most hospitals at least in the Houston area have bed capacity and it probably won't be delayed. Your surgeon will help answer your question more specifically based on your surgery and where it's being done.
Hi.

Not necessarily. In some hospitals, the elective surgical procedures have resumed, and in some, they are still on hold. Areas, States, and Cities least or less affected by the Corona Virus are doing the elective surgeries.

With best wishes.

Not at this time. Elective cases were postponed for a month or two, but now we are full steam ahead. This may change soon with the steep rise of Covid-19 case in AZ.
That depends on the state and sometimes the county in which you live. Here in Dallas you could possibly have your procedure done in a surgery center but not a hospital. Anesthesia is not a determinant. Ask your surgeon.
