Are Emax veneers the best?

I am a 38 year old female and I want to get veneers. Are Emax veneers the best?

Hello,

In order to consider find out what the best veneer for a person is, the properties of the material should be considered. Emax is a porcelain and it has great aesthetics. However, if the person getting the veneers has a habit of grinding their teeth, emax veneers are more likely to chip which means they would have to be replaced. Zirconia is a stronger material and its aesthetics are good too but not as good as emax. As long as the aesthetics match and look good zirconia would be a better choice for someone whose teeth meet edge to edge and they grind their teeth. This would also give them more peace of mind as well. If these conditions do not exist then emax may be the best veneer for you. Hope this helps.

Yes.
Maybe! As you probably know there are many different materials to restore teeth, and with the many materials come varying optical properties which affect the esthetic properties of the restoration. It is not possible to give you an honest and accurate answer without being able to examine your teeth. I would guess that you have been told by a dentist that was what he wanted to do for you. I would have to encourage you to ask him why he chose that material and not another. Remember to always have all your questions answered before undergoing any treatments.
Yes, most times. A consultation is needed for a final decision.
Emax veneers have great esthetics but they are not the most durable. In determining which material is best for you, many factors need to be considered such as your bite, teeth positions, any grinding habits and more.
Veneers are great when you need them. EMAX are beautiful. But be wise when deciding if and when to have your teeth filed down to fit to the new veneers. Many times orthodontics and a little bit of resin filling can really make a beautiful difference in your smile. The expensive veneers will no longer the first choice. All crowns, veneers and filling need to be replaced in time. Failure may take from 5 to 20 years, but all will fail - will you have the money to replace them again? If not, do not place veneers just for a better smile. Choose conservation of tooth
structure and you will have a less expensive life!

Hi,

Yes, I like Emax veneer. I do a lot of them.
I think they are. I love Emax for the best, most natural look that could be created with it.
We use e-max veneers if the patient is not a grinder. E-MAX Looks very natural. If a patient grinds teeth, they are not a good candidate for e-max. We use a different porcelain which is stronger that e-max.
There are MANY materials used to make veneers. eMax is a great material and one that is used very frequently with great success.
