Are spinal X-rays cancer causing?

I am a 31 year old male. I will have a spinal X-ray. Are spinal X-rays cancer causing?

No. The radiation dose is far too small for that.
No. There is no evidence that radiation in such small amounts causes cancer. High doses of radiation can cause cancer, and there have been scientific studies to try to extrapolate "cancer risk" to small amounts of radiation, but these are theoretical. Please go to AAPM.org for more information.
No. The radiation dose is quite small approximately 2 mSv.
There is an extremely low risk of spinal X-rays causing cancer, though not zero. If the study is medically indicated the benefits outweigh the risks.
