I am a 32 year old male and I will be having a vitrectomy. Are you awake during a vitrectomy?

You will be sedated
You need to ask the eye surgeon. Vitrectomy may require general anesthesia or at least deep sedation provided by a physician anesthesiologist or a CRNA, paired with an "eyeblock" by the surgeon.
