General anesthesia is used for ICD implantation which means you will be asleep.
Usually, cardiologists use conscious sedation in which the patient is in a light sleep.
Sometimes. Depends
Patients are typically awake for AICD placement as they are performed under local anesthetic and mild sedation.
Local anesthesia with I V Sedation.
Not totally asleep, but sedated with no memory of the event in most cases. Check with your cardiologist.
