Can frequent consumption of aspirin cause any side effects?

I take aspirin for my frequent headaches. I would like to know if this can cause me any side effects in the long run.

Yes it can -Gastric upset is the most common
Yes, you have to be careful not to take aspirin more than twice a week as you could be getting rebound headaches from overuse of aspirin. Do see a GP to get a proper diagnosis and treatment of your headache - if it's migraines, cluster headaches, or tension headaches, etc. Too much aspirin can also aggravate heartburn and cause nausea, vomiting, tinnitus (ringing in ears), etc.
Aspirin, or acetylsalicylic acid, as its proper name is called, is completely harmless as long as you do not exceed your liver's capacity to metabolize it. This varies from person to person but a rule of thumb is not to exceed 4 to 5 g daily. If you observe this role, there are no known side effects or long-term health risks.
