“My baby keeps throwing milk back up. Do you think I would need a NICU doctor to see him?”
My baby who is 2 months old keeps throwing up his milk. Do you think he needs a NICU doctor? What if the milk has gone into his lungs?

You need to consult with your pediatrician to find out the reason for vomiting. There are multiple reasons for throwing up. It could be as simple as you are overfeeding your baby, evidenced by too much weight gain. It could also be he is having a reflex disease that tends to improve with age without treatment, assuming he is gaining good weight. There are other causes for vomiting that need attention. Pyloric stenosis (especially if your baby is a boy) requires surgery for correction. Protein allergy (if your baby is not breast feeding and taking formula) requires a change to a special formula. Your pediatrician will be able to find out the reason and advise you accordingly. Best is to see your pediatrician first and he or she will determine with you what are the next steps.
