“My baby who is 8 months old had convulsions. What could be the reason?”
My baby is 8 months old and recently had a bout of a viral infection with high grade fever. He has also convulsions at night. Could this be due to the infection or is it a problem with the brain development?

you should have an evaluation with your pediatrician. It's possible that the convulsions are due to the fever, but there are other diagnoses that need to be considered. A good pediatrician will go through these with you in person, to explain them fully. It would take a long time to do this via email, and that is not in your best interest. You want something there who can answer any questions you might have at the time.
I only take care of newborn babies, but this could be febrile seizures or something more serious. Please see your pediatrician or go to the ER.
