“Can I apply makeup after a plastic surgery?”
I have to get plastic surgery for a mark on my forehead. Is it okay to apply makeup on my face a day or two after my surgery?

Thank you for the question. I would advise not to use any makeup over the surgical incision. Around it is okay, but not over the incision area itself for at least 1-2 weeks. You may want to enquire this with the treating surgeon.

In all likelihood you will have stitches. They can be covered with neutral colored tapes, which will help to hide the stitches. A day after the stitches are removed, I allow my patients to apply makeup.
