Yes ,make sure you use a soft tooth brush and a pea size toothpaste.
After crown insertion, you can brush gently.
Hello,

Yes, you can brush your dental crown with toothpaste after it has been placed. More than likely the outside of your dental crown is going to be made up of some kind of porcelain or zirconia, unless you are having a full metal crown being made. It is been widely studied that a porcelain crown is about times more abrasive than a metal crown. This is one of the concerns when placing a crown on someone who has a grinding (bruxing) habit. The toothpaste does have abrasives in it, but they are no where near as abrasive as the crown is. In fact, I have a patient who has two crowns (one in the upper teeth and one in the lower teeth) opposing each other. He has been chewing on them for 30 years before he wore through the porcelain. Chewing happens much more frequently than brushing, requires much more force, and has more abrasive materials than the toothpaste and it still took 30 years.
Hope this helps and hope your crown lasts a long time.

My best to you!

Yes, you must brush and floss the area.
Yes, please do brush and floss.
Yes, you can.
You should be flossing correctly first and that includes your crown. Your crown is tike a real tooth, and you should treat it like your natural teeth. Flossing is necessary to remove the gum line plaque that forms every day. Whether you eat or not plaque forms. In 24 to 48 hours, plaque crystallizes. When this happens only dental equipment can remove it. Then there is the saliva which contains calcium. Tartar will also harden. Plaque forming every day, PENETRATES the tartar and gets close to your teeth. Plaque is a sticky mass of bacteria that is forming every day. YOU are the only one who can save and keep your teeth. You can visit your dentist and find out how you can floss your teeth correctly and brush your teeth correctly daily. Ideally you should be doing this twice a day, but no less than ONCE a day is a must!
