“Can I drink after getting veneers?”
I am a 29 year old male and I had veneers placed yesterday. Can I drink after getting veneers?

Yes but it would be better to drink light colored drinks for veneers stain along the cemented edges . So if you drink red wine expect the cement under the veneer to darken over time.
Avoid stainers like red wine or grape juice. Anyone with porcelain veneers should know that the porcelain can pick up stains which can be cleaned off, but at the margins, the stains may be hard to remove.
Vaneers are expensive and need to be taken care of. Plaque will form at the gumline every day. Plaque will crystallize in 24 to 48 hours. Plaque is a sticky mass of bacteria. You have to floss correctly at the gumline every day and you have to brush correctly. The gumline is where the damage starts. You do not want to bite into apples, bagels (etc). You don't want to open plastic bags with your vaneers. If you floss and brush your gumline correctly and brush the sides and flat surfaces of your teeth and clean your tongue and gargle you should prevent any staining ,malodor, or taste. Bacteria are all around us. We eat after each other. We exchange bacteria through close contact. THERE IS NO CURE FOR GUM DISEASE. WE CONTROL IT WITH GOOD HOME CARE (FLOSSING AND BRUSHING CORRECTLY). AFTER YOU HAVE THE LANAP PROCEDURE FOR GINGIVITIS OR GUM DISEASE OR HAVE YOUR IMPLANTS TREATED, YOU KEEP YOUR MOUTH HEALTHY BY FLOSSING AND BRUSHING CORRECTLY DAILY. WHEN YOU ASK ABOUT DRINKING. YOU CAN DRINK ANY LIQUIDS. SOME LIQUIDS LIKE FRUIT JUICE, COFFEE CAN STAIN. ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES ARE O.K. JUST DON'T BATHE YOUR GUMS WITH IT.
