My daughter is 8 years old. She has a 101 high fever. Can I give my child ibuprofen?

Yes. Just check weight for correct dose.
Do not give ibuprofen on an empty stomach, it has lots of side effects. Tylenol is better, fewer side effects, and can be given by mouth or rectal suppository.
Ibuprofen can be given after 6 months of age unless there is a bleeding problem.
Repeated use can cause ulcers.
