Can I use chilli directly on the skin for pain relief?

I want to know if I can use fresh cut chili directly on the skin similar to how aloe vera is commonly used to treat burns.

I have osteoporosis and osteoarthritis and would like to know if I can use chill directly on the skin for pain relief.

Keep in mind that there are already several products on the market where the active ingredient is chilli for the purpose of pain relief and that chilli actually doesn't burn it causes your nerves to be tricked into thinking there is heat.

It is preferable to use Capsaicin preparation, commercially prepared, compared to use of actual chili peppers. The Capsaicin is purified, safer, and less dangerous to the skin itself.
Good luck.

I would not recommend it. The ingredients in capsaicin are diluted down and titrated. The vehicle base helps to mitigate the contact dermatitis that can occur.

Not a good idea as high percentage of contact dermatitis.
