My daughter is at an unhealthy weight and says she overeats when she is anxious. Can a binge eating disorder be linked to anxiety?

Yes and sometimes self image problems as well
Even though the scientific literature is not so clear about causative link of anxiety to binge eating disorder, anxiety and binge eating are often comorbid.
Yes, it is sometimes a sign of increased anxiety.
