“Can an enlarged heart go back to normal?”
I am a 36 year old male. I wonder if an enlarged heart can go back to normal?

Not sure if enlarged heart means thickened heart or dilated heart. If thickened heart, the answer is no, if dilated heart, ~ 40% recover granting the initial insult that caused the dilation is dealt with and treated.
With proper cardiac regimen including diet & exercise ejection fraction can improve. Also noted some reduction of cardiac size. However it depends on how much the damage had occurred. The earlier treatment, the better it is.
