Can anesthesia cause a stroke?

I am a 37 year old female. I want to know if anesthesia can cause a stroke?

Anesthesia by itself cannot cause a stroke unless you have an underlying medical condition with history of blood clots in the legs or uncontrolled irregular heartbeat, prolonged surgery, orthopedic procedures with immobilization after the surgery.

Anesthesia itself does not cause a stroke. However, if you have risk factors that could lead to a stroke (diabetes, smoker, hypertension), and you have an anesthetic, you could have a stroke on the table or you could have one sitting at home watching tv.
Anesthesia itself won't cause a stroke. If blood pressure would drop during the operation, or there is underlying disease which predisposes one to stroke, it could occur
