You need first a diagnosis of the type of Periodontis disease you have. No treatment can help if what is causing the gum infection is not removed or treated. The problem is more that a skin deep. Many times the gum infection is the first symptom of serious systemic disease, like diabetes or the gum infection can cause serious systemic conditions, like heart, brain and cause complications with pregnancy. The body- systemic connection is well established and I am sure if you Google it, you will find lots of information.
Periodontal disease means loosing minor/advanced bone around your teeth. Even if coconut oil can kill some bad bacterias in the oral cavity, such as Streptococcus Mutunt , there is no study that support coconut oil regenarate bone. If you suspect you have periodontal dx, you need to see your dentist.
It probably can help with regular brushing and flossing and dental cleanings and exams. I would think it could supplement a good oral hygiene regimen.
Not in any way I can visualize. Oil pulling works for tissues, but unfortunately cannot heal periodontal disease.
Unfortunately no. Sometimes it can make the surface of the gums look better, but the deeper disease will continue.
No, periodontal disease will not be cured by coconut oil. The bacteria that is responsible for periodontal disease must be removed by a professional and closely monitored. Assuming you would like to keep your teeth.
Absolutely Not! That is a fairy tale that exists only on the internet. Coconut oil cannot cure periodontal disease, stop decay, or repair teeth. The only treatment for periodontal disease is more frequent visits to your Dental Hygienist and excellent home care. See your dental provider for a scientific treatment of periodontal disease.
