My mother is 76 and wants the flu shot. Can elderly people take the flu shot?

Absolutely and highly recommended for adult dose.
Absolutely she should receive the geriatric flu vaccine unless she has a contraindication-- allergic to eggs, allergic to the flu vaccine, currently undergoing chemotherapy, immunocomprimised.
