“Can inadequate sleep cause physical changes in the brain?”
Each night I take at least 45 mins to fall asleep. Usually I get up once to go to the bathroom and take another 45-ish minutes to fall asleep after that. It is frustrating. Could this cause any changes in my brain? What can I do? I started taking a natural sleep supplement (goji + lemon balm) but I still wake up in the middle of the night and have a hard time falling back to sleep.

Hello! Sleep is an important factor in your health, and lack of sleep can cause a number of disturbances to our health and routine.
Yes. Lack of sleep can cause brain damage. Sleep is essential to brain recovery. The brain is like a battery that needs charging every night. The good news is that there are many new therapies and protocols that help the brain restore. The most important thing though, is to eliminate the root cause of the problem.
