“Can my lateral tilted hips be corrected?”
I have lateral tilted hips. My doctor also said that I have a form of scoliosis and prescribed a scoliosis brace. Will it help?

Yes, a scoliosis brace can be beneficial for addressing both lateral tilted hips and scoliosis. It can help support your spine and promote proper alignment, reducing discomfort and preventing further progression of the condition. Follow your doctor's instructions and wear the brace as recommended for optimal results.

When the spine curves in scoliosis, then the bones connected to it have to move along with the change. This includes the pelvis at the bottom, and ribs and shoulders at the top. The hips are part of the pelvis and so the pelvis may tilt and unlevel hips can occur. The hips will regain level by whatever amount the brace is able to correct the curve of the spine. At the same time, the hips typically rotate a bit and make other adjustments to help you walk with both legs sharing the work evenly.

They can be corrected through surgery but if you’re not having any pain associated with them, there’s no reason to correct them. If you do experience symptoms, there are many physical therapy treatment methods that will benefit you.
