Not usually
Under very specific circumstances it can. Your dentist has to make that decision based upon a number of factors which he should discuss with you.
Depending on the bite on the opposing arch, if the implant is placed in a strategic position, it can help with the bite by placing a larger implant. In general, it is normally and 1 implant : 1 tooth.

It depends. Usually no but there are some places where an implant can replace two missing teeth and hold up long term
Generally not. The lateral forces on a single implant, when chewing, would be twice as great with two teeth and would cause the implant to fail over time.
This depends on the location and size of the teeth that the implant will be used to replace. Ultimately, this is something you need to discuss with your general dentist so they can create a treatment plan accordingly.
Sometimes you can do that but it depends on the bite. When you do that, you have to make sure the implant is not in a place of too much load or stress because it can fail. It's best to do one implant and one tooth replacement.
Occasionally, but not recommended
