Dermatologist Questions Rashes

Can sunbathing cause skin rashes?

I'm 27 years old, and I've noticed that sunbathing seems to bring out a skin rash on my face. Can sunbathing cause skin rashes?

Of course. Allergies, sun damage, aging, rashes, cancer, wrinkles....Don't do it ever!!!
Yes, sunbathing can cause skin eruptions. One of the most frequent is called Polymorpous Light Eruption where big changes in the amount of sun can stimulate a reaction that causes itchy bumps in the sun exposed areas. Other eruptions are possible as well so please talk to your Dermatologist if you are experiencing a rash and are not sure what is causing it.
