I am a 24 year old female. I will have a C-section in a few months. Can you be put to sleep during a C-section?

Usually we offer a spinal block for elective c section and it is standard of care in this type of surgery since we inject local anesthetic close to your spinal cord most medication stay local and doesn’t effect the baby for going to sleep we inject IV medication and they can affect the baby directly or indirectly so it is not a preferred method.
