Can you become paralyzed from a chiropractor?

I will have my chiropractic back adjustment next week. But I have this irrational fear. Can you become paralyzed from a chiropractor?

No.
I’ve never heard of this happening. If you’re very afraid then you can look for a chiropractor that uses light force adjusting tool so there’s no ‘cracking,’ ‘twisting,’ or ‘popping.’ We use an instrument called an arthrostim. So docs use tools called activators or pro adjusters. These are all great alternatives.
The chiropractor would have to be very negligible to cause any kind of injury. I have not heard of any cases where a patient became paralyzed due to Chiropractic manipulative therapy.
Statically no. However there is a extremely very low percentage of that happening. Not sure of exact statistics but it's about 1 in 10 million treatments
You have a better chance of winning the lotto two days in a row than that happening. The odds are far in your favor in having the cause of your pain corrected than any chance of becoming paralyzed.
Hope it helped. Got your back!

The incidence of stroke or becoming paralyzed after receiving a manipulation is extremely rare. Most people that had this extremely unfortunate event occur had preexisting pathology in their blood vessel. More people have experienced strokes while having their hair washed at a salon then after manipulation. Have the doctor listen to your neck vessels with the stethoscope next time to help confirm absence of pathology.
I hope you find this info helpful.

No you cannot become paralyzed from an adjustment. The only time Chiropractic adjustments are not advised is if you have Osteoporosis, a Fracture in the spine, an Infection in the spine, Cancer in the spine, or Cauda Equina Syndrome.
