Can you ever eat normally after gastric bypass?

I am a 28 year old female. I will have a gastric bypass surgery. Can you ever eat normally after gastric bypass?

The gastric pouch is quite small on purpose to prevent overeating, but over time, it stretches and can accommodate more and more food at once. This is the reason that people tend to regain a lot of weight after the initial significant loss of weight. So after several years you may be able to eat "normally," but this might cause you to gain weight again.
The reason behind your scheduled gastric bypass is to reduce the amount of food you eat each time which then allows weight loss to occur. If you eat the same amount of food as before how will you lose weight? You will have to learn to adjust to your new life style after bypass.
