Can you get pregnant if you miss two pills?

I am a 26 year old female and I missed 2 birth control pills. Can you get pregnant if you miss two pills?

Depends. If you took them as soon as you remember, not likely. You may get breakthrough bleeding which is a drag, though. However, what I say is to use something else for contraception until you get your next period.
Yes, you can.
Yes, you absolutely can get pregnant missing 2 pills or more in a given month.

Hi,

Well, first of all, you can get pregnant without missing any pills, although it is not very likely. I always tell my patients that if they miss one pill, take two the next day and you should be fine. If you miss two pills, you should take 2 the next day and then 2 the day after. In this case, I tell my patients that they should use some sort of other protection for the rest of the month because you can ovulate earlier if you miss two pills. Obviously, if you REALLY REALLY do not want to get pregnant, you should use condoms or not have intercourse for the rest of the month in this case.
I hope this helps.
