“Can you have anesthesia for tooth sealants?”
I am a 21 year old female. I wonder can you have anesthesia for tooth sealants?

Of course, you can get anesthetic for most dental procedures but in the case of sealants, because there isn’t any actual drilling in the teeth, anesthetic isn’t necessary as it is a totally painless procedure.
Yes, you may request anesthesia but usually you would not need it. Sealants are a very simple and usually painless procedure.
There would be no need for anesthesia. The procedure only involves applying an acid(etc h), rinsing and drying the tooth and light curing the sealant. Generally, soft cotton rolls are used to keep the sight dry. It is a totally non-invasive procedure.
You can have anything you would like to make you feel comfortable. Sealants are not invasive into the tooth, so there is no pain involved like needles. There is nothing to worry about but its up to each individual. Its just like a cleaning where they wash the tooth and apply a conditioner to the tooth, then they rinse it off. Then they apply a liquid on the top of the tooth and shine a light on it to make it hard. Then your done!
Normally one doesn’t need anesthesia for sealants. They are noninvasive and easy to place on your teeth!
