Can you have surgery without anesthesia?

I am a 30 year old male and I will have surgery on my hand. I am afraid of anesthesia. Can you have surgery without anesthesia?

Will be very painful and stressful. I don't recommend this.
You could be done under regional or local anesthesia depending on the location and extent of surgery
It depends on the type of surgery and preferences of the surgeons. You can have surgery with arm block or local anesthetic with some sedation. You don't have to have a general anesthetic. You can discuss your choices with your surgeon.
