“Can you still get the flu after a flu shot?”
My 9 year old daughter will get a flu vaccine this fall. Can you still get the flu after a flu shot

The answer is yes. However your chances of getting the flu are much reduced with the shot than without it, and if you do get the flu, it most likely will be milder after getting the shot than if you did not. It has also been proven that the likelihood of dying after the flu shot is markedly reduced than if you did not get it. Since the side effects of the shot are a bit of pain at the injection site, a slight chance of mild fever and maybe a day or two of feeling yucky, it is obvious that the risk of the flu is much higher than the risk of the shot. Get your flu shot!!!
