Can you wear glasses after an otoplasty?

I am a 24 year old female and I will have an otoplasty procedure next month. Can you wear glasses after an otoplasty?

We ask to patients avoid placing their eyeglasses on the tops of their ears for 4 weeks following otoplasty.
You may be able to wear eyeglasses after otoplasty, but this depends on each case. I usually ask my otoplasty patients to wear a type of headband covering the ears to support the region after surgery. Sometimes eyeglasses can be worn over them.
Good luck.
It will depend on your surgeon’s routine. You most likely will have a surgical dressing for several days. After that is removed I normally allow my patients to wear their glasses.
