Cardiologist Questions Cardiologist

Can you work with Ischaemic heart disease?

I am a 45 year old male. I want to know if you can work with Ischaemic heart disease?

1 Answer

Depending on what you do for a living, you can work with ischemic heart disease. If you are doing physical labor or you are in a psychologically stressful occupation then you have to be careful. There are also factors such as how you get to and from work and what the hours are. It also depends on whether your IHD is stable. If you have unstable IHD, that must be taken care of before you can have any discussion about returning to work. The best judge of whether it is safe for you to return to work is your cardiologist. You have to discuss the issue and all its ramifications with him/her.
