I have soreness around my vagina after sex. What is causing this?

After having sex, I have extreme soreness around my vagina. I am very worried. What is causing this and can it be cured?

If you are post-menopausal, it may be due to low estrogen, and vaginal lubricants may help. If you are not menopausal, you may have endometriosis, then see a gynecologist for proper diagnosis and treatment.
Several possibles at the menopause; atrophic change is most likely. Otherwise, consider infection.
This forum, unfortunately, is not the best place to answer this question. Primarily, pain associated with sex, immediately prior to sex, or after sex, can have a multitude of reasons that range from 1. Physical anatomy, hormonal status, infectious status, age, experience, etc. I recommend speaking with your personal gynecologist.
If you are premenopausal, this could be an early sign of a yeast infection or another type of infection. You should see a gynecologist to be evaluated. If you are postmenopausal, this can be treated with estrogen cream or other lubricants. Again, see your gynecologist for evaluation
