“Is there a cosmetic surgery to change the shape of the face?”
I am a 28 year old woman and I have always lived with a feeling that my face is not shaped in a symmetrical shape. Is there a way to correct the shape of the face? Can it be done with a surgery? If yes, what kind of a surgery would it be and what does it involve.

Some faces are more asymmetric than others. It is difficult to say very much without photographs. Depending on the nature of the asymmetry, there may be something which can be done to improve things. You should see a board certified plastic surgeon who should have some knowledge about hemifacial microsomia, and other related conditions. Treatment may require a university hospital, depending on your location. Good luck to you.

All faces are asymmetrical. I would try fillers first to see if you like the result before you try a permanent procedure.
This is a common question and there are many ways to achieve facial harmony, depending on the individual’s concerns or desires. Sometimes it involves changing the bony structure, sometimes the skin, and very often using fillers or one’s own fat to achieve the desired look. A Board-Certified Plastic Surgeon can explain this to you and show you, with computer rendering, what you can expect after each of these procedures. I am happy to refer you to someone in your area if you would like.

Facial symmetry can be improved by both non-surgical and surgical means. Reshaping the face is a complex undertaking. Each patient has to be carefully evaluated by a well-trained professional. Non-surgical treatments include the use of neurotoxins to change facial movement and “fillers” for contouring. Surgical options are numerous and include facelift, rhinoplasty, fat transfers, liposuction, and even alteration of the facial bones.
Facial implants are generally the best way to go. This can be done with either off-the-shelf implants, or custom implants. Combining this with jaw reduction surgery can be very powerful depending on the shape you were looking for. Sometimes more aggressive procedures may be needed, but for most people they are not. There are different cosmetic procedures that can change the shape of the face and create balance and symmetry. Whether this would be done with the nose, a chin implant, fillers, etc.,thorough communication with your plastic surgeon is a key component to getting the best results.
There are different way a surgery can change the features of a face. Through face lift insidious we can approach the skin and soft tissues and the bone. Depending on the characteristics of your face I will modify the soft tissues or the bones. I need to see you in consultation to determine the right treatment for you.
