“Why is my daughter getting a fever without any infection?”
My 8 year old daughter has had a fever for the last 2 days without any evident infection. We had the tests done which seem to be negative. What could be wrong?

It could be fever without a focus. A urine infection can cause that.
Fever could be for many reasons. I would not get concerned, nor order tests unless temp over 105, or lasts longer then 5-6 days.
She may have a viral illness. Sometime it is bacterial, but takes several days to get a cough, rash, vomiting, etc.
