Psychiatrist Questions Depression

Depression and anxiety with nurses? Impaired?

I had a diagnosis of bipolar, anxiety and depression after a horrible divorce. How is this considered unsafe for work or unsuitable for nursing? Are we not entitled to health care also? Without fear of losing licenses

In general, mental conditions impair all aspects of life. Some professions relatively less impacted, some more. Depends on level of depression, it may affect nursing work.
Working with a psychologist is confidential! Unless you want to use health insurance, of course! I suggest my patients pay out of pocket instead of using their insurance if they can, so that will guarantee a wholesome treatment without the fear of outside interferences. It is the best investment you will ever do for yourself. I'm sure it is not easy to live with the symptoms you are presenting.

Be well,

This is a very complex question. Note the following guidelines for nurses:

You are entitled to MH care, too. If your condition interferes with quality care, you should not be practicing. If you are treated and professionals believe you are capable, the license should not be lost.
You need a psychiatric evaluation and psychotherapy to determine if you can continue to work, start treatment or need some time off also you have to talk to your supervisor about work load and your current life challenges
