Do I have to floss my dentures?

My dentures actually smell, and I feel like I take them out regularly. What can I do to prevent this? Should I be flossing them?

When you take your dentures out are you soaking them? Before placing them in a liquid, are you brushing the food off your dentures? You want to brush the side that you chew your food with, and are you cleaning the tissue side? (The side that touches your gums.) If you have both upper and lower dentures, you will do this for both of them. If you are using tablets,
after you clean your teeth tissue side and chewing side, you fill your container with water. drop the tablet into the water then put your dentures. Now you are giving your mouth some
needed attention. You can use 1/2 teaspoon of salt into a glass of water. You can rinse your mouth with the salt water. Wash your hands and take your fingers and massage your gums.
and your palate. YOUR TONGUE NEEDS TO be cleaned. You can buy a tongue cleaner or take a teaspoon or soup spoon, turn the spoon so the round part is towards your palate. Place the spoon in the middle of your tongue and go back towards your throat, you don't want to gag yourself. Scrape your tongue gently as you pull the spoon out of your mouth. You will see a slimy mass of debris. Do this on each side of your tongue. Rinse your mouth then gargle to clean your throat. Your mouth should feel fresher. If you don't use the denture tablets, you can use baking soda. Place a 1/2 teaspoon of baking soda in the clean water of your denture container. Cleaning you dentures first, tissue and chewing surface, placing them in a clean solution. Cleaning your mouth, rinsing, massaging your gum and palate tissues, cleaning your tongue, rinsing your mouth and gargling with salt water should help you.
No, just brush and rinse, use cleanser tablets at night in a box with water.
Denture cleaner. Please read the manufactures instructions. Your should also be brushing them daily.
You cannot floss Dentures. Dentures should be soaked in a cleaning and antibacterial solution daily.
You can’t floss the dentures as there aren’t any gaps between the teeth on dentures. You should be taking them out at night - cleaning and brushing them. And you would rinse your dentures after a meal. Also your dentures can be cleaned at your dental office - when you go for your regular visits at dentist. Please remember, even if someone doesn’t have teeth and wears full set of dentures, they still should be seeing the dentist regularly to monitor the gum - jaw and joint health.

Also after certain number of years, dentures would need to be remade or relined to ensure proper fit and function.

You should sanitize them every night
It is not unusal for a removeable oral appliance of any type to develop a mild odor. Every item you wear does this: socks, shoes, shirts, etc.
It would be unusal for you to be able to floss the teeth on a removeable denture.
You may not be able to 100% prevent it.
Usually it can be maintained to an acceptable level by regular soaking. You can obtain a tablet or powder from your pharmacy dental section to add to just enough water to cover your oral appliance.
If your appliance is old and worn out, you may need a new one.
Have your dentist examine your appliance and offer his suggestions. That is your best source of information.

Even if you have complete dentures, you still need to care for your gums. Whenever you take out your dentures, give your mouth a good rinse and then massage your gums with a washcloth or a soft toothbrush. If you have partial dentures, you still need to properly brush and floss your regular teeth every day. It is important that you visit your dentist at least twice a year for check up and cleanings even if you don't have any teeth to clean. The rest of your mouth needs to be examined and your denture will get a professional cleaning, which will aid in keeping them fresh and you feeling great while wearing them.

It is important to brush your dentures with toothpaste and a good toothbrush twice daily. Also it is recommended to clean them with a cleaning solution such as Efferdent, Polident. Once cleaned at night you will want to keep them in a wet environment while you sleep. Dentures are not floss-able.
You can't floss your denture. To eliminate the odor soak them overnight in an ounce of bleach diluted with water. Soak them in the morning in a mouthwash and you are good to go!
You don’t floss dentures. Just brush the inside and outside of the dentures with a toothbrush and toothpaste of your choice.
You can also put them in an approved denture cleaning and soaking agent overnight after you have thoroughly brushed them first. If you do this every day, the odors should decrease a great amount
