I am a 40 year old female. I want to know if painkillers help with depression?

Only if the pain is a significant factor in your depression.
Painkillers are not approved for depression.
Yes if the depression started AFTER the pain. However if the opioid pain killers are taken at higher doses or for too long, they will worsen depression because opioid analgesics are themselves Central Nervous System depressants.
