I am a 57 year old male. I will have elbow surgery. Do they put you to sleep for elbow surgery?

Yes
It depends on your and your surgeon preferences.You can go to sleep for surgery or you can have nerve block with sedation.In my practice we do a block with sedation.

Elbow surgery could be performed either under regional block or general anesthesia. You should discuss this matter with your anesthesiologist.
