If the wisdom tooth has erupted partially out of the gums and it is difficult to clean, it is susceptible to decay.
Not any easier than other teeth except that people have more difficulty reaching and properly cleaning and flossing.
Wisdom teeth are not easily reached do to their location, If your unable to brush them properly most likely you will get cavities.
It all depends on the position and angulation of the tooth. The best way to find out is to have it checked by a dentist and evaluate the condition of the tooth and mouth.
That depends on how they are positioned in your mouth. If there is enough space in your mouth and the wisdom teeth are properly aligned with the rest of the teeth, then they should be easy to keep clean and cavity free.
Wisdom teeth can be difficult to clean because of their location in the mouth; as a result, they can get cavities relatively easily.
Hello,
It is not easier for a wisdom tooth to get cavities. The reason it seems like wisdom teeth get cavities is because of their location. Wisdom teeth are in the back of your mouth which means they are harder to clean. They are the area that gets the least tooth brush time and they are difficult to floss. It is also important to note that they are even difficult for the dentist/hygienist to clean as well.
Now add the fact that they are most likely on an unusual angle which traps food between your teeth allowing cavities to develop. This means usually means that the wisdom tooth will get a cavity as well as the tooth in front of the wisdom tooth. Hope this helps.
My best to you!
