“Does congestive heart failure show up in blood tests?”
I am a 34 year old male. I wonder if congestive heart failure shows up in blood tests?

Congestive heart failure is a problem of the main pumping chamber of the heart (the left ventricle) because of weakness of that chamber, the heart won't be able to pump the blood effectively. That lead to shortness of breath and water retention. BNP (brain natruratic peptide) is an enzyme that is secreted by the ventricular during acute decompensated heart failure to help eleviate the congestion. The levels of BNP in the blood can predict decompensation.
