My son is 4 years old. Does my child need two doses of the flu vaccine?

Children under 8yrs need 3 doses over the first two flu seasons then 1 dise per season. If he has had only one dose this season or last season then he needs 2 this season
Does your 4-year-old child need 2 doses of the influenza vaccines this year? Well, it depends. If he has received a 2-dose series in previous years, then only one dose is needed this year. If he has received only a single dose previously, then a 2-dose schedule is recommended, given about 30 days apart. If he has received only one dose per year for the last 4 years, then my recommendation would be to receive 2 doses this year; in subsequent years, only one dose would be needed.

Typically if your child is less than 3 years old and getting the Flu vaccine for the first time, he/she need to have 2 doses a month apart. Otherwise one dose is enough.
Hello

He only needs 2 doses if he’s getting it for the first time. If not, it’s one per season.
If he was vaccinated last year he only needs 1. If he has not had the flu shot before he will need 2 a month apart.
