Local anesthesia is used for tooth extraction
As in all things medicine, the answer is it depends! Generally only a local anesthetic is used. In some instances, sedation my be required.
You need local anesthesia injected in the gums and depending on which teeth an NRBE block. A competent dentist can do that. They may give you some gas if needed. It's usually nitrous oxide. Should be okay.
