How do you clear a dog's throat when they keep trying to clear it themself?

Hi there! Unfortunately, there aren't any home remedies I'm aware of. I would advise bringing your pet in to see their primary care doctor. Due to the duration, I would be concerned for collapsing trachea, asthma or pneumonia. Diagnostic imaging and bloodwork would help to find the cause of their consistent coughing/clearing of throat.
