I am a teacher and I find my voice quite strained. What can I do?

I am a teacher in the primary section and I am finding that my voice is quite strained with all the loud talking in the class. How can I prevent this from happening? I don't want to injure my voice.

This can be very uncomfortable! And you must continue speaking your classroom. Vocal strain can occur from poor posture while speaking, as well as from forced loud speaking over a long period of time. A formal option would be to seek out a vocal coach to problem solve your concern. They would likely assign vocal exercises to strengthen and warm up your voice.
