Gastroenterologist Questions Loss of Appetite

Why do I feel so full even before finishing half my meal?

I am 37 years old and I am having a serious problem with my appetite. I have no primary health issues, however, I tend to feel full even before I have finished half my meals. What can I do to improve my appetite?

This is called early satiety and it might be a sign of having a sensitive stomach, a benign condition. As long as your weight is normal (BMI 18-25) and you are not losing weight, then you don't need to necessarily increase your appetite. If you are underweight, then see a GI doctor for evaluation.
Hi. You’re describing a symptom called “early satiety”. Gastroenterologists consider this a serious symptom, and my advice is to consult your physician to rule out any serious medical conditions.
