Neurologist Questions Blood Pressure Medicines

Is headache a common side effect of blood pressure medication?

I am a 54 year old woman. Since the last six months I have been on Newton 40mg. I often end up with headaches at night. Is it a common side effect of this drug or is my blood pressure affecting my brain?

It can be either or. Kindly see your physician
I am not sure what is the generic name of Newton. I could not find it either. Some classes of antihypertensive medication (medication that lower blood pressure) can cause headaches such as nitroglycerine.
