“I can hear a whistling sound whenever I breathe out. Why is this happening?”
I am a 36 year old woman and every time I breathe out, I can hear a whistling sound. I have no other concerns but this sound seems abnormal to me. What could this be?

A whistling sound is usually produced by air passing through obstructed airways, as in asthma or chronic bronchitis. This should be evaluated by a physician with a breathing test to measure airflows.
