Check your vitamin B 12 levels, diabetes, or other vitamin deficiency.
Patient needs to go see the PCP for work ups and treatment. Do not treat nerve pain at home.
Medications. Please see a neurologist.
If your leg pain is DEFINITELY due to neuropathy (i.e., due to disease of the nerves) or radiculopathy (i.e., due to a pinched nerve in the spine), medications like gabpentin or pregabalin may help reduce the pain/discomfort.
First step is to make sure you find out the exact cause of your nerve pain by having a complete examination, labs, X-rays, etc., as recommended by your physician. There are several medications available by prescription to help with nerve pain. Most commonly prescribed medications are gabapentin, Amitriptyline, Nortriptyline or Lyrica. You can also add over-the-counter supplements like Vit E and Vit B12 to help with some of the symptoms.
